In 2023, Dubai issued a remarkable 158,000 golden visas, as reported by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA Dubai).
Golden visas, which provide long-term residency for up to 10 years, are awarded to individuals in various categories, such as outstanding students and property investors.
Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of GDRFA Dubai, highlighted that the number of golden visas issued in 2023 was nearly double the 79,617 issued in 2022 and significantly higher than the 47,150 issued in 2021.
Al Marri also shared plans to enhance passenger services by leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to predict passenger numbers at Dubai airports. Additionally, he reported that the department processed 3,518,000 transactions in the first quarter of this year.
In 2023, the total number of transactions exceeded 19 million, and over 60 million travelers passed through Dubai’s air, land, and sea ports.
